IPL 2021: Star batsman Chris Gayle decides to leave IPL; Due to this he left with the Punjab Kings
- Star batsman Chris Gayle has been ruled out of the IPL
Punjab Kings (PBKS) has suffered a major setback. Chris Gayle, the team's star batsman, has been ruled out of the IPL 2021 ahead of today's match against Kolkata Knight Riders. He has decided to quit the IPL due to bio-bubble fatigue. Gail came to the UAE to play in the IPL directly after playing in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021).
After playing just two matches in the second phase of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, explosive batsman Chris Gayle decided to walk out of the tournament. He informed the team management on Thursday that he would leave the IPL team bubble and return to his country. Constantly traveling from bubble to bubble, Gail has made this decision to keep herself mentally exhausted and fresh for the T20 World Cup.
On Thursday, the Punjab Kings informed that Gayle, an experienced batsman in the team, is no longer in the next match. Exhausted by the bio-bubble, he has decided to skip the tournament and return home. Gayle was scheduled to play for the West Indies in the ICC T-20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman next month.
Gail was constantly tired from traveling from one bubble to another and because of this he decided to rest at home for a few days. They entered the IPL bubble from the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League bubble. Under Corona's protocol, all players on the team must follow strict rules.

"I've been part of the bio bubble for the last few months," Gale said in a statement. First CWI then CPL and then I entered the IPL bubble. I want to be a little mentally prepared and streamline myself. I want to focus on helping the West Indies team to the T20 World Cup and that is why I am taking a short break from Dubai. I would like to thank the Punjab Kings for allowing me to take this break. My prayers and hopes will always be the same with the team. Best of luck for the next encounter in the tournament.
